before it all began.

i was surprised, indeed, to realise it only took an hour.
clean, naked, it now needed handholding all over again.
my wireless card by intel was not registered, so i had to pull out the cd.
labelled "version 1.0", it certainly looks ancient.
i recall the previous time i installed, i was plagued with problem.
the legendary BSOD [blue screen of death] popped in every 10minutes.
grudgingly, i threw the disk into my Matshita DVD drive.
autoplay kicked in, and as the command prompt popped, bam.
my dearest friend revisited.
shortly after, forcing xp to reboot. and upon reboot, revisit again.
what a vicious circular flow!
as geeky as i'd always been, the small 8.9" thing beside,
i sourced quickly for the latest driver on intel.
only to receive an error stating that it is no longer available to download.
the forums! on the intel forum i met fellowfriend
directed to another link, i was saved
knowing well that my outdated graphics driver gave bsods on previous occasions i whipped in the latest mobile intel 915/910 GML.
perfect.
with internet and basic displays up [thankfully soundmax is already on]
i needed my browsers.
firefox, i know its 3.5.5, so it was easy.
and updating the default to an IE8.
phew. getting slightly tedious there.
grabbed in the adobe reader 9, macromedia flash player 10,
winrar, wasnt it 3.9.2 beta2.
crap, its 3.9.1 , b1. pathetic memory here.
Antivirus! i exclaim, grabbing the latest copy of AVG 9.
CHAT! grah, how i dreaded getting the msn.
i recall its huge demands, microsoft .net framework 3.5
which had a prerequisite of windows installer 3.1
goodness, how mafan can things get!
my basics up and running, leaving me with the options to restore my back up files and folders.
i want to bring back office 07.
i dont have photoshop, or my corel painter, or sony vegas.
but i dont think id get them back, not yet.
with the partition manager more important, and a windows 7 cd lying in a corner.
a bigger day awaits, one filled with more risks and dangers, and sweat and fatigue.
to go over another clean installation, all over~
