An interesting album, I'll give my general opinions to it later.
Id like to zoom in some of my favourites.
Track10: I don knowI DONT KNOW - MICA 3 CHUHmm this is by Mica 3 chu?
Its so. Un-mika! such defiance! Rock and punkish and sang fully in english.
Its an A-side, a very risky one that flopped for many, but i kind of like the alternative rock feel.

3.5/5 kuromi
Track6: Anata ga Iru Karaanata ga iru kara - nakashima mikaFans of mika will know that this is no A side or B side. It just surfaced in this album as a side dish. but the fact that it was a side dish made it even more interesting to highlight, for I found the song really touching.
The song started soft and light from the first verse. minimal instrumental while mika sang in her light voice
After the chorus into the second verse she switched into her usual touching voice! kanjou!
Comparing 1:18 against 2:22 where she sang the whole 2nd sentence of the chorus "anata ga iru kara kono mainichi, mata owa re nai" and we can really feel that difference in mood, emphasis, tone.
Into the bridge! second sentence at "mie nai furi de sugoshi ta hibi o mou nidoto kurikaesa nai you ni", perhaps i was expecting too much frm mika, but i hoped her falsetto for the parts around "sugoshi ta hibi o mou" could have been stronger, and her "...nai you ni" more powerful.
Into the soft chorus that will soon pick up into the last punch, its easily picked up in jpop isint it? in fact in many other songs too. familarity isint a bad thing, but when mika adds in a dash of surprise with her "demo". i was ooh~
Very sweet song, being a small side, very worthy of mention!

4/5 kuromi
Track 2: Sakura: Hanagasumi (Daishi Dance)Sakura: Hanagasumi (DAISHI DANCE) - nakashima mikaOne look at its name and you could tell its a remix of the original right?
This song is a A side of obviously Sakura: Hanagasumi.
The original i was not made obvious to initially either for I was not an absolute mika fan, but this song got me seeking for the original, which i supposed was a slow rendition.
I like this version alot, because of the instrumentals then. But 1 min of music is slightly long
The singing begins slightly soft, and picks subtly at the second verse from "Te wo Fureruhodo"
Transition into chorus was carried out rather magically too. Emotions were set with emphasis and abit of use of falsetto in chorus first sentence "Hanagasumi Ima Tsutaete"
I like it at the bridge where she sings "Sorenanoni Sorenanoni, Kurushikunaruno wa Naze?" accompanying an interlude of instruments.
A touching song, with that little pain infused, sakura petals, beautiful which will eventually fall with the season, one could sense the youthful spirit of abandoning adulthood and justwanting to stay in that instant with a loved one

4/5 kuromi!
Track 4: Eien no Uta (永遠の詩; Eternal Song)eien no uta - nakashima mikaId wish i could cut out the rap start! haha it was the only part of the song i think was not nice.
song starts off normally in its verses, i liked it when it went into the middle of the second verse at "arashi ga to nara nai yoru ni wa", a prep for the chorus it said. Again mika flaunts her emotional capability and utilises the falsetto well.
chorus! a song of eternal love, "I am alive in your lifetime", "Even if the sun never sets, Even if I lose everything, I’ll always be searching for you"
phrases magnificantly sung out with the ethereal, hazy effect she creates. And when she hit "..nakushitemo", it instantly gave an angelic touch, a force that time could not stop, that love she presented.
you get treated to it again at the end. Its a great fusion of old emotions rekindled in a modern time.

Cant really decide, it ranges from this 4/5 kuromi to a 4.5.
Track1: LifeLIFE - 中島美嘉nakashima mikaLife feels really like mika.
Song starts quite soft, and then begins with the drastic piano and vocals continue with not loud but obvious beats of rhythm.
Sets into chorus quickly at just slightly after a min. I like how she twists at "ずっと長い"
Song goes on in similar fashion. I particularly liked the bridge.
"kokoro, hiraki. inochi wa utau," and going into her "for life for life"
Haha the short link @ 2:41 into the final chorus was cute.
A song of living for life.. keep going towards a never ending and a never approachable tomorrow, we still have to face it. and of the feelings of pin and beauty she expresses along the way, i think we can feel it.

Its 4/5 kuromi!
Track 5:OrionORION - 中島美嘉Nakashima MikaAnother classic jpop start it is! A softer chorus put at the start for a short glispe of the song.
A star gazing night with mika! She sings of orion, a famous constellation.
"..cried..because you told me..not showing any sign of weakness..not same as being strong"
usual jpop technique at final chorus, the soft to power approach managed to create some contrast, before she faded off softly again
Romantic from start to end, its calm, touching, empathetic.

mm its 4.5/5 kuromi
Overall,
mika san has goone such a long way! This is her 5th album, and I must say it has a nice collection of her few styles, easy listening, pop, some rock, an album with great variety. While there is not really any song that I could give her the manten, but the average score i give for 14 of the songs on it beats many that I downloaded, and most are somewhat worth my listen. Do buy if you can!
Just a little more on mika san and her past works.
Stars
stars - nakashima mikaher debut in 2001. One of her best selling to date.
so youthful back then! she has those powerful vocals since then, but this music was much more charming, i could feel the glitter. a 4.5 kuromi easily
Glamorous Sky
Glamorous Sky - Nakashima MikaProbably one of her best selling, it beat stars in sales, and is not really her style, but it was made for the rock star character she played in the movie nana.
her vocals used in a special way, this rock is perfect. its really capable of 5 kuromi. mmm!
Yuki no hanaYuki no Hana - Nakashima Mika
HEY! Wait a minute! didnt joi chua [cai chun jia] sing this song?
Yeah it was a great hit so the singaporean girl went to copy the song into a madarin version.
Its simplicity and the beauty, the falling snow petals. Its warm and fuzzy.
Enough of mika!
A few more additions to the music scene recently,
Id like to bring afew here too
Days - ayumi hamasakiThis is the PV
Was shot after it she broke up with her boyfriend i think.
The song was supposed to express her emotions.
Do watch it. Its very splendidly written for a song, and to add the mv was shot very well. Managed to capture the emotions and used a the nolstagic technique of before and after with the clock, the way she ran down, the bike sounds etc. everything was smoothly linked. The message carried well, ayuu!
Oh not to forget. I dont remember see ayu so cute with her bigbig eyes and smile
Hrmm there's ikimonogakari's new single I want to mention too!
Kimagure Romantic (気まぐれロマンティック)
Kimagure Romantic - いきものがかりikimonogakariA side Kimagure Romantic starts off childishly! I really enjoyed the start. The parts that make it nice in the verses such as "..chotto.." which she placed some emphasis was so kawaiii =D
Picked into a pre chorus that was interesting and different frm conventions as it gave the song a three tier of accumulating effects.
chorus wasnt bad! but i wished it could be more impressive! and whats with the sweet sweet dareeleen. so cute!
infused with harmonica here and there with the drums fast paced but not overpowering rhythmic beats was great.
Man, im just starting to love this!

4.5/5 kuromi!
Next song, the B-side, Message
message - いきものがかりikimonogakariooh starts off with their harmonica! And soon it becomes another cute tune!
pre chorus is cute, chorus is fun and energetic. pardon me, I havent went onto the lyrics yet! But its really funky, why is this not a double A side?
Its quite perfect, I like the fun fast paced music with great instrumentals esp at the interlude with the strings! Very magical like disneyland

4.5/5 Kuromi!
Ikimonogakari never fails to satisfy.
I have a few more of the songs in between that i just got my hands on, will comment another time
