i grew up,
to know that society strives for peace.
i grew up,
to know that harmony is a sought after goal.
i grew up,
only to realise how everything is challenged.
challenged so readily,
our society perched so precariously.
i wouldnt call it a selfishness in every different person's pursuit.
but i question the feasibility of harmony, beyond a quiet equilibrium.
no rational being wishes for chaos, for conflict, but yet it is impossible for people to change their sights for others.
i pick up the little pieces from the floor,
and i wondered how the father and the son would piece them together.
i look, earnestly, black met the golden.
no reply, but merely a smile, hiding a promise.
