a longing called nostalgia surfaced.
8:46 PM

the sun was scorching.

i stared at the people.
as they made their laughter.
feeling so close in the present, yet so distant, of the future.

"was this not what you longed for?"
a voice that read my mind and pierced through my heart.
i could not contain my shock.

as i stared at the people again.
wishing all our time could stop.
this pain. a pain i foreseen so long ago.
a pain i can never stem. culminating, perhaps, killing me.
on the 7th of Dec.

a longing called nostalgia surfaced.

the sun was scorching.
but the sky was rumbling now.

a strange figure? no, a familiarity.
we made a rare exchange.
speaking of the past, of the present, of where we were.

will i miss things the way it would be.
"just get them back again in the future"
"it'll be different."

my pains i reflected again.
bouncing off the mirrors within me.

as i bidded goodbye.
thunderstorms that took my heart along.
a longing called nostalgia surfaced.

i clambered up the stairs and held the rail.
darting eyes across, an angelic face?
only having time to exchange formalities, ways had to part again.
a learning figure, zestful, never forgetting the experiences.
"maybe more babies then?"
i cringed slightly as i envisioned.
pictures flashing back.

a longing called nostalgia surfaced

as i celebrate my favourite wonder-ponder.
a life, enjoyed for its wishes ahead or for every present moment that shall enter its past.
