we were so spirited then.
vibrating vigorously, having so much energy.
we escape from the surface.
flying up, sky high
gathering at cloud 9.
those were such happy times.
jumping from place to place,
all was packed together.
such a bond, it had been.
As we coalesced.
our weights and burdens got heavier.
our lives grew dull,
and the clouds around us, dark.
soon, the booms of thunder and rage could be heard.
such an expression.
no one could prevent the finale escape.
so they break down, falling from the sky.
... ...
I stood outside the doorway.
the dark clouds looming over the magnificent plaza.
the rain poured down,
how painfully mocking?
observing the little puddles that formed,
the droplets of water breaking like pieces of pebble.
dark, black blobs.
our hearts that died with the year.
it wont survive this final rainfall.
as we all shall grow older,
like the rain we shall fall.
away from the gathering point up in the air where we once met.
and down, down, onto the cold hard floor,
as individual droplets,
forming puddles, large and small.
acting nonchalantly, staring blankly into the space.
before our downpour shall break.
how, i wonder, how much the clouds treasure their space?
the raindrops form the watercycle.
we'd fall, but we'd evaporate once more again.
but the puddles then may evaporate and form new clouds.
new clouds, perhaps flying even higher.
turning back the head,
i stepped into the classroom for lesson.
